Ribavirin is in a class of antiviral medications called nucleoside analogues. It works by stopping the virus that causes hepatitis C from spreading inside the body. It is not known if treatment that includes ribavirin and another medication cures hepatitis C infection, prevents liver damage that may be caused by hepatitis C, or prevents the spread of hepatitis C to other people.Ribavirin comes as a tablet, a capsule and an oral solution (liquid) to take by mouth. It is usually taken twice a day, in the morning and the evening, for 24-48 weeks or longer. Take ribavirin tablets with food. Take ribavirin capsules and oral solution with food, unless your doctor tells you that you may take ribavirin with or without food. In that case, be sure to take the medication the same way every day. It is best to take ribavirin at around the same times every day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take ribavirin exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Shake the liquid well before each use to mix the medication evenly. Be sure to wash the measuring spoon or cup after use each time you measure the liquid.Your doctor may decrease your dose or tell you to stop taking ribavirin for a short time if you develop side effects of the medication. Long-term prevention and treatment of asthma and chronic lung diseases. It should not be used to treat a sudden symptom of shortness of breath (eg, sudden severe onset or worsening of wheezing, cough, chest tightness) because it does not work right away. It may also be used to treat other breathing conditions as determined by your doctor.Seretide Diskus is a combination "controller" medicine. It improves lung function and makes breathing easier by reducing airway swelling and irritation and by causing muscle relaxation. Fluticasone is a steroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Salmeterol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing muscles in the airways to improve breathing.Fluticasone and salmeterol inhalation is used to prevent asthma attacks. Fluticasone and salmeterol inhalation is also used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) associated with chronic bronchitis.Maintenance treatment of asthma where use of combination product is appropriate (eg patients inadequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids or patients stabilised on salmeterol and fluticasone) Severe COPD with repeated exacerbations inadequately controlled with regular beta2 agonist therapy.
Alendronate is used to treat and prevent osteoporosis (a condition in which the bones become thin and weak and break easily) in women who have undergone menopause ('change of life,' end of menstrual periods) and to treat osteoporosis in men. Alendronate is also used to treat osteoporosis in men and women who are taking corticosteroids (a type of medication that may cause osteoporosis in some patients). Alendronate is also used to treat Paget's disease of bone (a condition in which the bones are soft and weak and may be deformed, painful, or easily broken). Alendronate is in a class of medications called bisphosphonates. It works by preventing bone breakdown and increasing bone density (thickness).Alendronate comes as a tablet and a solution (liquid) to take by mouth. The solution is usually taken on an empty stomach once a week in the morning. The 5-mg and 10-mg tablets are usually taken on an empty stomach once a day in the morning, and the 35-mg and 70-mg tablets are usually taken on an empty stomach once a week in the morning. The 40-mg tablets are usually taken once a day in the morning for six months to treat Paget's disease of bone. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take alendronate exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.Alendronate may not work properly and may damage the esophagus (tube between the mouth and stomach) or cause sores in the mouth if it is not taken according to the following instructions. Tell your doctor if you do not understand, you do not think you will remember, or you are unable to follow these instructions: You must take alendronate just after you get out of bed in the morning, before you eat or drink anything. Never take alendronate at bedtime or before you wake up and get out of bed for the day. Swallow alendronate tablets with a full glass (6-8 ounces or 180-240 mL) of plain water. Drink at least a quarter of a cup (2 ounces or 60 mL) of plain water after you take alendronate solution. Never take alendronate tablets or solution with tea, coffee, juice, milk, mineral water, sparkling water, or any liquid other than plain water. Swallow the tablets whole; do not split, chew or crush them. Do not suck on the tablets. After you take alendronate, do not eat, drink, or take any other medications (including vitamins or antacids) for at least 30 minutes. Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after you take alendronate. Sit upright or stand upright until at least 30 minutes have passed and you have eaten your first food of the day. Alendronate controls osteoporosis and Paget's disease of bone but does not cure these conditions. It may take 3 months or longer before your bone density begins to increase. Alendronate helps to treat and prevent osteoporosis only as long as it is taken regularly. Continue to take alendronate even if you feel well. Do not stop taking alendronate without talking to your doctor. Duloxetine (du-LOX-uh-teen) is used to treat mental depression. It is also used for pain caused by nerve damage associated with diabetes.Duloxetine belongs to a group of medicines known as selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SSNRIs). These medicines are thought to work by increasing the activity of chemicals called serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain.Duloxetine is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SSNRIs). Duloxetine affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause depression.Duloxetine is used to treat major depressive disorder and general anxiety disorder. It is also used to treat pain caused by nerve damage in people with diabetes (diabetic neuropathy).Duloxetine is used to treat major depression--a disorder marked by continuing, serious, and overwhelming feelings of depression that interfere with daily functioning. Symptoms may include major changes in appetite or sleep habits; lack of interest in social or work life; feelings of sadness, guilt, or worthlessness; fatigue; difficulty concentrating or making decisions; and suicidal thoughts or attempted suicide.Duloxetine is also used to treat diabetic peripheral neuropathy, a painful nerve disorder associated with diabetes that affects the hands, legs, and feet.Duloxetine is thought to work by correcting an imbalance of two brain chemicals known to influence mood--serotonin and norepinephrine. It belongs to a class of antidepressants called selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). Albuterol (also known as salbutamol) is used to prevent and treat wheezing and shortness of breath caused by breathing problems (e.g., asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). It is also used to prevent asthma brought on by exercise. Albuterol belongs to a class of drugs known as bronchodilators. It works in the airways by opening breathing passages and relaxing muscles. Controlling symptoms of breathing problems can decrease time lost from work or school. How to use Albuterol InhlRead the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using this medication and each time you get a refill. Follow the illustrated directions for use of the inhaler. If any of the information is unclear, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Follow the instructions for test sprays in the air (priming) if you are using a new canister, or if you have not used it for 4 weeks or longer. Test sprays used to prime the inhaler should also be counted. This product is able to be sourced and supplied at excellent prices because of favourable cross border currency conversions. All products are authentic brand names and will include a product information insert in English.Medical Information: Erythrocin tablets contain the active ingredient erythromycin, which is a type of medicine known as a macrolide antibiotic. It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria. (NB. Erythromycin is also available without a brand name, ie as the generic medicine.) Erythromycin works by preventing bacteria from producing proteins that are essential to them. Without these proteins the bacteria cannot grow, replicate and increase in numbers. Erythromycin doesnĘt directly kill the bacteria, but leaves them unable to increase in numbers. The remaining bacteria eventually die or are destroyed by the immune system. This treats the infection.Erythromycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against a wide variety of bacteria that cause a wide variety of infections. Erythromycin may be used to treat infections of the upper or lower airways, skin or soft tissue, eyes or ears. It may also be used to treat certain sexually-transmitted infections, oral and dental infections, and to prevent infections in people who are at risk, for example due to surgery, trauma or burns. Erythromycin is also used for treating inflammatory acne, as it is active against the bacteria associated with acne, Propionebacterium acnes. This is a common type of bacteria that feeds on sebum produced by the sebaceous glands in the skin. It produces waste products and fatty acids that irritate the sebaceous glands, making them inflamed and causing spots. By controlling bacterial numbers, erythromycin brings the inflammation of the sebaceous glands under control, and allows the skin to heal. (Other antibiotics may be preferred for acne however, as strains of the Propionebacterium that are resistant to erythromycin are becoming widespread.) To make sure the bacteria causing an infection are susceptible to erythromycin your doctor may take a tissue sample, for example a swab from the throat or skin.Erythromycin has a similar range of antibacterial activity to penicillin and so is also useful as an alternative to penicillin in people who are allergic to penicillins. What is it used for? Bacterial infections of the lungs (chest or lower respiratory tract), eg bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, Legionnaires' disease.Bacterial infection of the nasal passages, sinuses or throat (upper respiratory tract infection), eg sinusitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, tonsillitis.Whooping cough.Bacterial infection of the middle ear (otitis media) or outer ear canal (otitis externa).Bacterial mouth infections, eg gum disease (gingivitis), Vincent's angina.Bacterial infection of the eyelids (blepharitis).Bacterial infections of the skin or soft tissue, eg boils, abscesses, cellulitis, impetigo, erysipelas.Acne.Chronic inflammatory disorder of the facial skin (acne rosacea).Bacterial infections of the stomach and intestines.Inflammation of bone due to bacterial infection (osteomyelitis).Inflammation of the urethra due to bacterial infection (urethritis).Inflammation of the prostate gland due to bacterial infection (prostatitis).Gonorrhoea.Syphilis.Diphtheria.Scarlet fever.Prevention of bacterial infection following surgery, burns, trauma or dental procedures. Aripiprazole is used to treat certain mental/mood disorders (e.g., bipolar disorder, schizophrenia). Aripiprazole is known as an antipsychotic drug (atypical type). It works by helping to restore the balance of certain natural chemicals in the brain (neurotransmitters). This medication can decrease hallucinations and improve your concentration. It helps you to think more clearly and positively about yourself, feel less nervous, and take a more active part in everyday life. Aripiprazole can treat severe mood swings and prevent or decrease how often mood swings occur.OTHER USES: This section contains uses of this drug that are not listed in the approved professional labeling for the drug but that may be prescribed by your health care professional. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional. This drug has also been used to treat dementia-related behavior problems (e.g., agitation, aggression) when standard treatments (e.g., behavioral therapy, cholinesterase inhibitors) have not been successful. This drug should be used only for the condition for which it was prescribed. How to use Aripiprazole OralRead the Medication Guide provided by your pharmacist before you start using aripiprazole and each time you get a refill. Tadalafil is used to treat male sexual function problems (impotence or erectile dysfunction) by blocking a certain enzyme (phosphodiesterase-PDE5) in the body. In combination with sexual stimulation, tadalafil helps blood flow into the penis to achieve and maintain an erection. This drug is not indicated for use in women.Use of this drug does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases (e.g., HIV, hepatitis B, gonorrhea, syphilis). Practice "safe sex" such as using latex condoms. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. How to use Tadalafil OralRead the patient information leaflet provided by your pharmacist and ask questions if any of the information is unclear.Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor. There are two ways that this drug may be prescribed and taken. It may be taken as needed, or it may be taken once a day every day. Your doctor will determine which is the best way for you to take this drug. Follow your doctor's directions exactly. If used regularly every day, your doctor will prescribe a low dose (usually 2.5 to 5 milligrams per day). When this drug is taken only as needed, the dosing may need to be higher. Never take more of this drug than prescribed because you may experience serious side effects. Your doctor will adjust your dosage based on your response and other medications you may be taking (see also Drug Interactions section). Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. When taken as needed, take this drug at least 30 minutes before sexual activity; or use as directed by your doctor. This medication's effect on sexual ability may last up to 36 hours. Therefore, do not take more than once daily as needed. When taken regularly every day, you may attempt sexual activity at any time between your doses. Do not take more than one dose each day.Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while being treated with this medication unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. Grapefruit juice can increase the amount of certain medications in your bloodstream. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details.Tadalafil Oral is used to treat the following:Inability to have an Erection DOPRESS capsules or tablets contain dothiepin hydrochloride. It belongs to a group of medicines known as tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs).DOPRESS is used to treat depression and the anxiety associated with depression. Depression is thought to be caused by a chemical imbalance in parts of the brain. This affects your whole body and can cause emotional and physical symptoms such as feeling low in spirit, loss of interest in activities, being unable to enjoy life, poor appetite or overeating, disturbed sleep, often waking up early, loss of sex drive, lack of energy and feeling guilty over nothing. DOPRESS works by correcting this chemical imbalance and may help relieve the symptoms of depression.Your doctor may, however, prescribe DOPRESS for another reason. Ask your doctor if you have any questions about why DOPRESS has been prescribed for you.DOPRESS is not recommended for use in children 12 years of age and under. DOPRESS is not recommended for use in adolescents (13-18 years of age) for the treatment of depression, unless under the supervision of a specialist. Medication contains 2 hormones (levonorgestrel, a progestin, and ethinyl estradiol, an estrogen). These hormones prevent pregnancy by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) and changing the womb and cervical mucus to make it more difficult for an egg to meet sperm (fertilization) or attach to the wall of the womb (implantation).Using this medication does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (e.g., HIV, gonorrhea). How to use Levonorgestrel-Ethinyl Estradiol OralRead the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start using this product and each time you get a refill. The leaflet contains very important information about when to take your pills and what to do if you miss a dose. If you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Take this medication by mouth once daily or as directed by your doctor. Pick a time of day that is easy for you to remember, and take your pill at the same time each day. Pregnancy is more likely if you miss a pill or take a pill late. Make sure you get a new pill pack before you finish your current pack. Also, make sure you have back-up birth control (e.g., condoms) available in case you miss a pill.If you have been using another form of hormonal birth control (e.g., patch, another type of pill), ask your doctor or pharmacist how to switch to this product. If you are using this medication for the first time, and you are not switching from another form of hormonal birth control (e.g., patch, ring, other birth control pills), take the first pill in the pack on the first day of your period. If your doctor directs you to start this medication on any other day, use an additional form of birth control for the first 7 days.Continue taking 1 tablet every day. Most women do not have regular periods while taking this medication. You may have some bleeding or spotting. If this happens, do not stop taking your pills. If you vomit or have diarrhea within 4 hours after taking this medication, you may need to use a back-up method of birth control. Consult your Patient Information Leaflet for more information. (See also Missed Dose section.)If you have any stomach upset or nausea with this medication, it may help to take it after your evening meal or at bedtime. You may choose to take this medication at another time of day that is easier for you to remember.
